Adobe Creative Cloud Pro vs Single-App Plans for Solo Creators
Compare the apps you actually use, the missing middle plan, and the contract behind the monthly price.
One regularly used Adobe app? Check the single-app plan first. Several desktop apps? Compare Creative Cloud Standard before paying for Pro. Pro needs a specific premium-AI or web/mobile reason—not just a discounted first three months.
This is a cost decision for an individual creator, not a recommendation that everyone needs Adobe. If a tool you already own does the job, a new subscription may add no value.
What the US prices say
Adobe’s individual plan page currently displays Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator single apps at $22.99/month each; Creative Cloud Standard at $54.99/month; and Creative Cloud Pro at a regular $69.99/month. These are annual contracts billed monthly, before tax. Region, eligibility, checkout choice, and renewal pricing can differ.

Adobe currently advertises a Pro new-subscriber offer of $34.99/month for three months, followed by $69.99/month. Treat that as a temporary offer, not the plan’s ongoing cost. Read the offer terms.
Do the app-count math
That calculation only compares sticker prices. A Photography bundle, storage need, app feature, or eligibility difference may change the right choice. For example, Adobe’s US Photography plan is currently shown at $19.99/month; photo-heavy creators should check it before buying Photoshop alone.
At unchanged displayed rates, the first 12 months before tax are $275.88 for one $22.99 app, $551.76 for two, $659.88 for Standard, and $839.88 for Pro at its regular rate. An eligible buyer taking today’s three-month Pro promotion would pay $734.88 in year one under the displayed terms. Recheck both price and eligibility at checkout.
What Pro adds—and what it may not add for you
Adobe’s plan comparison shows Standard with 25 monthly generative credits and Pro with 4,000 credits for premium generations plus unlimited standard generations. The credit FAQ says new single-app subscribers may have different credit amounts from older subscribers. Credits are not a promise of final usable assets: usage depends on the feature. If premium generation is not part of your real monthly workflow, it should not decide the purchase.

These are decision examples based on public plans, not first-hand tests of every app or a claim that every workflow requires Adobe.

- Which feature or file format is missing from tools you already own?
- Do you require Pro-only mobile/web features or premium AI generation?
- What is the regular 12-month price after promotions, with tax and add-ons?
- What are the cancellation terms for the precise billing choice?
Buy the smallest plan that covers a real workflow. If the work has not justified a subscription yet, delay it.
